1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OwnerOS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OwnerOS is a business management dashboard designed for contractors and self-employed professionals. It provides tools for tracking finances, managing jobs, generating invoices, logging expenses and mileage, and estimating taxes.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information during registration.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscription & Billing

OwnerOS offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Not Financial or Tax Advice

OwnerOS is a record-keeping and estimation tool, not a licensed financial advisor or tax professional. Tax estimates, deduction calculations, and financial summaries provided by the Service are approximations based on the data you enter and current publicly available tax rates. They should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional tax or financial advice. Always consult a qualified tax professional before making tax-related decisions.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious files or content
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

7. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into OwnerOS. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your business data, documents, or uploaded files. You may export or request deletion of your data at any time.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep OwnerOS available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OwnerOS and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. On termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow export, then permanently deleted.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the latest changes took effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
